Input from Peter of AAP / some other things

On Friday Peter came to bring along the chemical. He was very impressed by how well everything is set up, complimented our equipment and admired the chemical floor we got (apparently it is a very expensive one) ;). He also gave me some input, of things we should do different:

-Never mix to much replenisher, because it just oxidizes and has to be thrown out. (he suggested to do this with the about 20 L of replenisher of the developer we still got). So in the future, only mix 3-5 L.

-Better we would make printing sessions, like 2 weeks a month or so where everyone is printing and after that dump the chemicals and start fresh next time. He thought our system was not so useful and it might be better for the machine and the chemicals and all to do it his suggested way.

So, what do you guys think?
Shall we try that?
And Jeroen, is it true is only costs about 8 Euros to mix a new tank of chemicals?

Rebecca and Jeroen, are you two still planing to print this week?
If yes I will go to the Doka Wednesday morning to mix the chemicals.

One more thing: My friend Katja Mater is interested in joining the group, i guess that would be kind of nice as we need people to print in order to keep the system running. Do you guys agree?
(i would of course take care on her learning her way around etc...)

best,
Eva

  1. Hey Eva,

How cool of him to check everything out and give us tips. I would think it is great if Katja joins, the more the better, as for the system you are suggesting I would like that too but it almost seems impossible to me to get that working with everybody's crazy agenda's....should we meet again soon to talk things over again?

  2. I definitely agree for Katja to join our group.

I would still want to print on Friday. Is two days enough (just me and Jeroen signed up)? On the other hand, if we don't get going again, this is ridiculous, n'est pas? Who else wants to print in the next two weeks?

  3. I would like to print this week.
If the chemicals do cost 100 euro then new chemicals in the tanks when we celan will be more, something like 13 euro. The 8 euro is based on a price of somewehere around 60 or 70 euro for 50 liters of chemicals.

    Jeroen.
